    I too have been thinking (over the xmas break) about providing stock photos and graphics for some side $$$. Wondering if anyone here can provide tips or share experiences with iStockphoto.com or any other stock sites.

    While the 3D thing might not interest you, the 3DS is much more powerful than the current DSi, meaning much better graphic capabilities. So if you ever want to play anything other than Pokemon Black in the next couple of years you should wait for the 3DS.

    If you're not really interested in gaming on the DS or doing anything other than Pokemon Black go ahead and save some money buying the DSi.

    I wish someone would do a native OSX build of Putty. I'm pretty surprised it hasn't been done. Doesn't seem like it would even take much effort if you have the original linux or BSD source code as a starting point.

    I just tried both suggestions... still works fine on PC's IE & Firefox and Mac's Safari, but not Mac's IE or Firefox. I have been googling and get nothing but crap. Any other suggestions?

    My current code:
    <object height="1" width="1">
    <embed src="mysongname.mp3" autostart="true" hidden="true" loop="true" />
    </object>

    Hmmm...

    As some have mentioned, the Late 2008 Unibody uses DDR3 1067 MHz.

    RAM from the 2011 MBP will work fine albeit at 1067 MHz.

    I upgraded to 8GB DDR3 1333 in my Late 2008 (was same price as the DDR3 1067) and the same sticks are working fine in the new 2011 MBP.

    It looks like OS X passwords are still more secure than Windows passwords, even with an 8-character limit. I was not really able to get Keychain to accept a truncated password. When I was testing the password lengths, I set an 8-character one, was immediately prompted by iChat to enter a password into Keychain, and forgot that I had already changed it from a 9-character one. If OS 10.3 fixes the character limit, the passwords will be even more secure than they are now.

    http://news.com.com/2100-1009_3-5053063.html?tag=fd_top

    {
    Microsoft has used two encoding schemes, also known as hashing functions, to encrypt passwords. The first, known as LANManager or LANMan, was used by Windows 3.1, 95, 98, Me and early NT systems to secure passwords that were used to connect to early Windows networks.

    The LANMan scheme has several weaknesses, including converting all characters to uppercase, splitting passwords into 7-byte chunks, and not using an additional random element known as "salt." While the more recent NTHash fixes the first two weaknesses, it still does not use a random number to make the hashes more unique.

    The result: The same password encoded on two Windows machines will always be the same. That means that a password cracker can create a large lookup table and break passwords on any Windows computer. Unix, Linux and the Mac OS X, however, add a 12-bit salt to the calculation, making any brute force attempt to break the encryption take 4,096 times longer or require 4,096 times more memory.
    }

    Keynote @ Hour 2: Michael Jordan walks on stage spinning the MacBook Air on his finger...

    Jordan makes more sense, but maybe the Globetrotters will help make up the entourage.

    I think the name is dumb. I don't think they would link the product name to an easy to see banner. Obviously, the banner was meant to build hype or they would have just kept it covered.

    They'll almost certainly do something cool with a wireless device, but I'm *certain* they won't name a machine Macbook Air. It doesn't even make any sense really.

    The iMac is a better buy if you are intending to replace your keyboard and considering upgrading your monitor. The mini is good if you are happy with your current peripherals and don't need a lot of power.

    I'd expect the mini to move towards the i5 and i7 processors in the next month or two. It would be best to wait until this Summer for the next OS upgrade to come out (10.7 aka Lion) otherwise you'll be looking at an OS upgrade cost to you in the future.

    I think the song Gold Digger is fine. I think Kanye West is fine. However, that song for that crowd wasn't fine. I think another song would have been better, like "Hey Mama." Can't argue with that song. Lots of people in that room wouldn't have look so "Mike Myers-ish" as Kanye rapped that one.

    How about Dave Matthews Band? Sure, people do love them, but if they sang "Crash Into Me," that would be a bit disturbing, wouldn't it? "And I come into you-oo-hooo.........in a boys dream."

    I don't know; at the 1st installation (10.3 + 10.3.7 combo + 10.3.8 patch + applications), everything was working untill I red my emails and tried to save as .pdf and try to print a popup of this web page; http://store.dxo.com/login.asp?LID=2.

    For the 2nd installation, I did (10.3 + 10.3.7 combo + 10.3.8 patch) but in safe boot mode. So I don't know...

    Now I'm still working in safe boot mode.

    Heyyy everyone,

    Just wondering if anyone has seen or owns an iPhone 4 replacement back that happens to have a kickstand?

    I know there are plenty of cases out there that have kickstands, but I think a replacement back with one would be pretty cool.

    And if not, can anyone recommend a nice thin clear case with kickstand? Thanks!

    Cheers,
    KP

    EDIT: Too many Forum tabs open... Whoops! =\

    these Maps enable you to use maps offline without internet connection. This includes maps street names detail. This will give peace of mind when traveling aboard knowing you will not be charged with roaming fee. So if you live or travel in that city, it will help you much in your life.

    I'm pretty excited for this game. Forza 3 did a lot right in my book, and was very fun. With a few tweaks and improvements, this game could be really amazing. I can't wait for E3 to see more of this.

    Check out the mStand (http://www.raindesigninc.com/mstand.html). It's really beautiful and matches the Alum Macbook.

    I also have the mStand and it's worked great for me. my mbp is at a comfortable viewing angle and I can use it with or without my wireless mouse and keyboard. plus it is very aesthetically pleasing :) I Highly Recommend it!

    ALSO, I tried the Griffin Elevator and ended up returning it the next day because my mbp was slipping off the stand when i tried to use it. just something to keep in mind.
