I'm a teacher who has brought his class every year to MacWorld. We always come on Friday. I don't think that any booths close down on Friday until the late afternoon. My kids like the fact that vendors are more willing to give away free stuff on Fridays.

By the way, I hate saying this but it's pathetic how my iPhone can run video better than my G4. :(
The iphone has h.264 decoding hardware in it so it hardly even uses the CPU to play video. That is why it plays so much better. Overall a high end G4 tower would have a lot more capability than an iphone.
Hardware can only be as good as the software it's running after all.

Wow - Godfather is great.
I played it solidly from 11am on Saturday until 2am on Sunday, hardly pausing for food even. Why would anyone want to play GTA when you can play something similar with a much better plot and characters?

I suggest you make some wild and unsubstantiated claims about Macs and PC's or something similar to get it started with a nice big flame-war.

2.5ghz G5 is just an overclocked 2.0. Otherwise why would it need to be watercooled?
It's about time Apple made a Phone/PDA
Apple ought just get real and start using Intel/AMD and get their new cases redesigned by Alienware. OH and get some decent games...

pablished - its a play on my initials and published (if you hadnt guessed)
what ya think, i think ill use the site for graphic work and eventually uploading my mountain bike videos and photography.
could be like my creative hub online?
any thoughts

Well... that's part of it. In your User CP it collects all of your subscribed threads in one place. It also displays the icon in Forum Spy.
And I do understand the said feature is not available but it would be great to have something to the extent of simple Facebook notifications.

I decided to just install it on my SSD since I want to take advantage of the speed of it. This no longer seems as buggy as it did when I installed Lion a few weeks ago and got rid of it. I can now run the VNC app "iTeleport" without problem!
Thank you for taking the time to lay out these instructions, as it is invaluable to me as I install for future partitions down the road. Cheers.

A faster way is to use multiquote, then erase the first /quote, and paste (or retype it) after the second /quote.
As you can see, that doesn't work well, as it makes it look like the wrong person did the quoting.
Or cutting and pasting the second quote= to the start of the reply ...

i've had this lens for about 7 months now and while i think it's a great lens, how to get consistent focus with the AF is still a mystery to me. i generally shoot around 1.8 to 2.2 so i know the dof is pretty shallow and perhaps that is part of the reason, but when i shoot, i generally use the center point, focus on the eyes or some part of the face and then reposition. sometimes it comes out the way i want, as in this example (http://www.flickr.com/photos/70072717@N00/5555471847/in/pool-56354702@N00/), other times, the focus seems to be on something else (http://www.flickr.com/photos/70072717@N00/5556060766/), not where I had intended (the water gun is in focus but i wanted the face to be). any advice on what i need to change in my methodology? thanks.

Reporting back for anyone who cares - the banner brought $220 on eBay. Best of all, the shipping address of the buyer was 1 Infinite Loop! :D
